The cottage is located on Fortune River shown in the pictures above. We enjoy walking the road along the river, and also visiting attractions such as
Basin Head, which includes a fishery museum and a lovely beach named the top beach in Canada by the travel web site vacay.ca.

Golf courses, including the renowned Crowbush Cove and Dundarave
National Parks on PEI have exquisite uncrowded beaches and hiking trails. Greenwich Dunes is our favorite for its combination of a walk through the woods, on a pontoon bridge across the marsh, to the carefully protected dunes, and ending at the magnificent sight of a pristine sandy beach. The Cavendish Park includes Dalvay-by-the-Sea National Historic Site and the Green Gables Heritage Place.
